Fast passenger ships for the Compagnie Générale de Navigation (Geneva lake)

Led by the « Compagnie Générale de Navigation », the opening of fast transit links on the Geneva lake is a brand new concept, compared to traditional navigation on the lake. The Navibus, designed by Bureau Mauric, and built by Merré shipyard, are the first crafts operated on these lines. Speed, comfort and environment friendliness are the targets reached thanks to the deployment of innovative concepts and equipments : modular construction, active pitch and heel control…Sophisticated on site measurements during trials, have shown that these goals have been reached or even exceeded.
