Model-real correlation: new ship return experience

The prediction of ship hydrodynamic performances is mainly based on model tests, which results are extrapolated to full scale. Sea trials performed for surface ships recently constructed by DCN allow the evaluation of some of the scaling methods used by the Bassin d'essais des carènes during the design stage.
