Reducing the complement of the surface ships is a main concern for the French Navy both for diminishing the total owning cost and to be able to keep a good level of human resource. For example. the goal for the Multi-Missions .Frigates (FMM) is to reach a complement of less than 100 people, which is a real gap compared to the ships in service.
This objective requires to imagine new methodology to demonstrate the feasibility for the organisation of the different control rooms: integrated bridge, operations room and platform control room. We use different computerized mock-ups to illustrate and analyse the needs of the operators in the different control rooms.
The main technical orientations are given: beside the guidelines for the organisation of the control rooms, damage control and maintenance arc presented.
