The FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) and the FSRU (Floating Storage and Regaseification Units) for LNG are more and more considered for the exploitation of large sea gas fields first and for the recovery of associated gas from sea oil fields for ecological and economic reason secondly.
The GAZTRANPORT & TECHNIGAZ (GTT) Membranes Techniques NO 96 and MARK III used for the construction of LNG Carriers for more than 30 years are particularly well adapted for LNG FPSO/FSRU building.
These FPSO/FSRU need studies and developments to be validated and optimised particularly on liquefaction plant, offloading system, floating unit dimensions and shape and tank number versus each installation site conditions.
In this paper are outlined the main points to be studied and developed.
