Use of glass reinforced composite piping on board passenger ships

Use of glass reinforced composit for piping system on board passenger ship has been recently allowed due to modifications of the IMO rules. This helps to solve corrosion problem, to reduce weight and cost.

Therefore it is necessary to comply with rules requirements and to introduce this new technology in the all company. from conception study to erection on board. This is what Chantiers de l' Atlantique managed to do for the first time on the cruise-ferry DJJ .
