FLNG tank inspection

GTT is a marine engineering company specialized in the design of cryogenic tanks for LNG storage and transport. Its technologies able to store the LNG inside tighten tanks and to keep their temperature close to external environment temperature in spite of LNG storage temperature at -163°C.

With the growing LNG storage offshore market, maintenance process usually used must be reviewed because not adapted.

GTT develops a tool dedicated for the maintenance of those new LNG storage offshore tanks. This tool is based on the use of a suspended telescopic arm, allowing to onboard workers and to reach the full tank.

This document presents the results of this development.
