Reduction of noise and vibrations due to propellers and propulsion engines experience of Chantiers de l'Atlantique

Considerable reduction of noise and vibrations levels on board ships have been performed by CHANTIERS DE L'ATLANTIQUE.

These improvements which are necessary for passengers comfort on cruise ships as well as for auxiliaries reliability have been performed in following directions :

-Reduction of vibrations due to propellers by improving their geometry and the aft lines

-Reduction of noises transmitted to the hull structure by the diesel engines using elastic mountings

-Filtration of vibrations from dynamic auxiliaries

-Optimisation of noise insulation.
