The development of is probably one of the big technological innovations for the maritime world. We will give in this document some element of the context of the operational use of USV on warships, the constraints to launch and recover an USV from a naval platform, and then we will set out the principles of an automated launch and recovery system, the technique, the achievements. Finally, we will give some examples of tests performed.
