OCTOBER 7th-10th 2026 – THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF SHIPBUILDING,
The registration for the 27th Symposium on the Theory and Practice of Shipbuilding, in memoriam Prof Leopold Sorta (SORTA 2026), is officially open.
The Symposium is organized by the Department of Naval architecture, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, and will take place from 7 – 10 October 2026 2026, at various facilities and premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Belgrade.
Areas of interest for the Symposium include ship design and hydrodynamics; marine structures and strength; offshore engineering and floating systems; marine propulsion and energy systems; emission reduction and decarbonization; AI and machine learning in marine engineering; ship production; repair and retrofitting; autonomous vessels and digital twins; education, training, heritage, legal, logistics and economic aspects of maritime transport.
The official language of SORTA 2026 is English.
The authors can submit abstract(s) only or abstract(s) followed by the full paper(s). Abstracts should be submitted as defined at the official symposium websites by 15 June 2026.
