Simulation of the propulsive performances is today a tool well known in the design and the acceptance for the propulsion system of the military ship, as classical propulsion or nuclear propulsion. This design concept, which is described by a accurate model, allow to represent the complexity of the physical phenomena as a complex propulsion system. A complex propulsion system is making up by various sub¬systems which represent so much physical domains (power, thermodynamic, fluid and electrical networks, automatic) as sub-systems. Because complexity of propulsion system is increasing (CODAD, CODLAG, AES...) and because more and more automation is need for the customers, the designer must be used, in the design and test acceptance process, numerical facilities to justify and to guarantee the functional propulsion performance in steady state as transient analysis.

The SAWARI 2 Frigates is the first project which have benefit of a global approach in the design of the propulsion system, approach that could be allowed to ensure the success of the project all along the construction cycle.
