Maritime regulation evolution, about the information technologies and the safety of passenger ships

This paper gives the position of a shipping company specialized in passenger ferries trafic on the last modifications of the statutory rules applied to these ships. The main data processing systerns which are on board of the passenger ferries of SNCM are listed and briefly described.

The connections between new rules and data processing systerns are underlined as the potential difficulties which may be met by the owners due to these evolutions.
