Expert system for a diesel engine supercharging circuit

A prototype of an expert system has been developed, able to deliver a diagnosis on the actual state of the supercharging circuit of a Diesel engine and its probable evolution.

This expert system uses the artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic technics.

The diagnosis is determined in two steps.

The first compares the actual state of the supercharging circuit with different states of deviations.

The second step makes an arbitration between the different possible deviations.

The arbitration is made using expert rules concludes if there is or not some deviations.
